An Opportunity Seeker, on the other hand, is looking for a simple business they can start with a small capital, minimal risk, and the ability to make money rain down from the sky. Can you make sales to them and recruit them? YES!

Another kind of prospect trembles when he tries to hold a pen in his hand and is in arthritis agony with the feeling of nails driven into his knuckles. What is he looking for? A way to wake up tomorrow with joints that don’t creak. Can you sell them your company’s nutrition product? YES!

Yet distributors fail to enroll and fail to sell.

Let me ask you, “Does it make sense to vomit up the same sales pitch to all of these three groups?” Of course not.

I am telling you there are SIX categories of MLM prospect. And what do MLM distributors do? They blab out to anyone with a credit card and a breath the SAME 50 minute flip-chart presentation–or they drag their body-bagged prospects into hotel meetings where someone else does it for them.

You wonder why your distributors can’t enroll distributors.

You wonder why your distributors can’t make sales.

You wonder why your distributors phone you after 3 months of dodging your calls to ask for a refund.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this isn’t a secret. It really is that easy. It is ridiculous to try to sell a painting to a blind man–he can’t see it and is unlikely to want it. That’s what traditional MLM training is teaching you. Frankly, it doesn’t work.

Each kind of prospect has to be identified. Find out what they are looking for. Offer exactly the solution they want. Then sell them on your product or service which helps them solve their problem.

Online systems make it easy and automatic: First you should advertise with compelling ads that appeal to the type of prospect you want to talk to. Offer only the benefits that you know would interest them.

Next, let them raise their hand to tell you they want answers.

Next, plug them into a marketing process that shares YOUR answers and let them choose whether or not your particular solution suits them.

Finally, ask for the sale.

Imagine having six fine-tuned Money-Making-Machines that did exactly that. Imagine that each machine has a Big Red Button labelled “GO!”. And still dizzy with the excitement of untold wealth–your new distributors are told hit the button and collect your trickles of cash on the other side.

Sound simple? Sure. But either you or your upline still has to make the automatic systems.

That is your job as a leader. If you don’t have the skills or patience to make your Money-Machines, then either learn the skills or get a new upline who has systems.

Surprised? Don’t be–if your current upline is convinced that “one-fits-all” IS a solution, he or she is SADLY misguided.

A system should do the grunt work of selling. A system should save your distributor the pink-faced humiliation of being told “NO”. The system needs to be so airtight and simple that a child could operate it.

The distributor’s only responsibility should be to put MLM leads in the machine. The Marketing system’s job should be to classify the leads into the right marketing system and make the sale.

Almost all the people you recruit have never made a red cent outside the chains of a J-O-B. What makes you think they will magically turn into energetic little worker bees? They lack the basic skills they need to make a profit. They won’t build their business. And they WON’T build yours…

Systems rock because they can be duplicated. They give the same predictable result every time–just like when you push the light-switch in your bedroom. The result is always the same: the light turns on.

A good online MLM marketing system enrolls distributors and makes sales whether it was me, you, or your mail-man who put them through.

People are unsubscribing left and right from e-newsletters and lists who do nothing but sell, sell, sell.

But here’s the thing…

All the “selling” isn’t the necessarily the problem.

The problem is usually what’s being sold and to who.

Let me explain what I mean:

Three days per week my wife and I like to make a brisk, ten mile bike ride.

Only problem is, I live in an area that, during the summer, is full of annoying little thorns that get lodged into your tires and cause slow leaks.

This happened a few times to me over the past summer.

The first time I changed the tube myself.

The second time (a couple weeks later) I took it to a local bike shop. The guy fixed it and we went our merry way.

The third time (just a few days later) it happened yet again…and I brought it to the shop again.

This time was actually a pain for me, because I had a lot of stuff to do that week, and didn’t want to mess around taking a bike to and from the shop.

Luckily, there was a different guy working that day.

And before he changed the tube he said, “We get a TON of tire repair jobs like this in the summer. Do you want me to put on a tube with a sealant inside? It’s a little more expensive, but when a thorn gets in there, the sealant fills up the hole and you won’t even know it happened.”

“You’re kidding me, right?” I asked. I had no idea this thing existed (shows how much I know about bikes).

“I’m serious. And if you really want to make sure this never happens again, we have special tires that are almost impossible for these little thorns to puncture…”

Long story short:

I bought both the tires and special sealant tubes on the spot, and have not had a problem since.

Now, here’s what’s important about this for you as an Internet marketer:

When I left the bike shop, I was actually mad the first guy didn’t try and sell me the special sealant tubes or puncture-proof tires.

If he had sold me on the tube and tires I wouldn’t have had the hole, and I wouldn’t have had to take another day to drop off and pick up my bike.

And that’s the point.

Are you selling your list things they want?

Things that will make their lives easier?

Things they may not even realize exist right now…but will be happy and thrilled to buy once you show them?

If not, then you should be worried people thinking you’re just another marketing “hawk” only out for money.

Because you probably are annoying people, and you probably are one or two emails away from a bunch of potential buyers leaving you at any given time.

On the other hand…

If you simply discover what your list wants and aren’t getting…and if you simply offer those things to your list for now on…then you have nothing to worry about.

You’re not inconveniencing anyone and you’re not coming off as a greedy, money-hungry jerk, either.

Chances are you’re a bright spot in their day — even as they fork over their hard-earned money to you.

If you don’t believe me, think about the ads you buy from selling you things you really want that genuinely solve a problem in your life.

Don’t you feel almost a sense of…well…gratitude…towards the company that sells it to you?

I know I do.

I can’t help but think the guy who sold me the tires and tubes did me a huge favor. I’m always grateful whenever I see one of those stupid thorns on the bike path.

And if you simply sell your list the things they want like this…you won’t have to worry about mass number of people leaving.

People will be happy to hear from you…instead of being sick of hearing from you.

Some have blown the concept way out of proportion. For example in the movie The Secret it was said that if you see yourself with a movie star – will he/she show up at your door the next day? It doesn’t work like that nor do I think the writers intended us to believe in magical and/or spiritual miracles that will happen each time you make a wish on the Genie’s lamp.

I think that’s where the Law of Attraction can “suck” for some people. Those who have misunderstood what the Law of Attraction is really about.

It’s neither about making three wishes that will be granted nor believing so much that you’ll marry the next celebrity and be in love for life; just because you believed in it so much you magically made it come true.

The Law of Attraction is very real and goes much deeper than that.

It’s about self awareness and the way you perceive the world around you.

Here’s an example:

Let’s say you are a negative person. You see others who are taller than you’d like to be so in your heart you are jealous of them. The taller person walks by you and you don’t even realize the look on your face. They see your sneer and react to it. They may scoff back or even simply ignore you.

You don’t think you feel negative toward this person and in fact your feelings against taller people might be so deep seeded you don’t even realized you turned your nose up at them.

So then you take the “victim” role and think to yourself, “See, people just don’t like me. All I get is crap from other people and I don’t get it.”

So you perceive others as jerks. Nobody cares about you and nobody wishes to even get close to you. You have no clue why other than the world is a nasty place.

Well, it’s true the world is a nasty place if that’s what you make of it. Its true people don’t like you and especially taller people. That’s what you’ve made around you.

So my point is this; you get what you give. That’s as simple as I can explain the Law of Attraction for our new age thinking.

Now does it go any deeper than that?

I feel it can, yes.

Not magic, but to master how to attract others or what you want in life can happen. It’s like when you’re a child and you see yourself having limitless opportunities in life.

The older you get the smaller your world of opportunities may appear.

Think about it.

Most of us believed we could do anything we put our minds to when we were toddlers. Maybe even still as teens.

Yet hardships in life happen and then we start to “think” that’s just what reality is. Limits.

Essentially “we” limit ourselves. Not the world or other people, businesses or jobs. It ultimately falls on our shoulders what we choose to believe we can or we “will” make happen.

The Law of Attraction isn’t about magic, it’s about “working” toward something you believe you’ll make come true … and it will as long as you keep working toward it.

So with your own business product or MLM opportunity, online store or your own bricks and mortar business that it will become a success if you keep working toward it. No matter the hurtle in life or business, it’s up to you to figure out the angle around that obstacle to get by it in order to achieve your goals.

It may not be as easy as “magic” dust, but with the right tools, calculations, having patience and the willingness to learn from previous mistakes, your dreams can come true.

Besides, the more you are successful, a strong leader, a “positive” thinker the more “fun” it will be to be around you. Others will “desire” to feed off your positive energy and maybe even give back to you because you’ve made them feel good.

Only people limited in their context have a problem with the “controversial” advice I’m giving in these ACN secrets. They tried to ban me from sharing this stuff. The trouble is that this information should be in your corporate training.

Here are 3 of the strategies ACN leaders like George Zalucki, Art Napolitano, Brian Sax, and Andrea Sax know that helped them build downlines of 1,000’s of active members:

1. Be Very, Very Unique

Being different gets attention.

You’re just another annoying pyramid scam when you say, “ACN isn’t like other MLMs we only make money when you do.” or “Our company founders brought together the best of all Network Marketing comp plans when they created the ACN comp plan.”

That’s not unique. Reps from every Home Business or Direct Selling organisation say the same boring stuff to me all the time!

Leaders like Art Napolitano and Matt Rasmussen are most known amongst ACN reps for TRAINING. I was recently speaking to a lady who quit ACN for the “grace period” so she could rejoin under one of the better known ACN trainers.

Develop or promote a unique skill you have. Like your ability to generate leads online with MySpace or Facebook. Or your hypnotherapy technique to help ACN reps overcome their fear of picking up the phone. You can use skills that you already have or begin to learn new ones.

2. Don’t Sell to Everyone

Don’t launch your presentation at EVERYONE like a dog licking strangers!

Describe your ideal prospect carefully and specifically. What kind of problem are they trying to solve? What job/business background do they have?

Once you know the problem that really frustrates your prospect, position yourself as the person who has those solutions. For example, my ideal prospect is someone who has owned a business in the past or owns one right now. My prospect is frustrated because he/she can’t find customers easily and really wants to find out how to create more customers.

Great. Now where are they looking for solutions?

They’re buying books and cds on marketing and attending marketing seminars. Now I know where my prospect hides and what I can offer as a solution to bring him/her out of hiding.

3. Stop Contradicting Yourself

Have you heard the rep who claims that his business is “easy” and yet he chase his prospect to the point that it’s embarrassing?

It’s obviously not easy if he’s doing all this tiring and embarrassing chasing!

Instead of wasting your time chasing a quick buck from someone who is unqualified, go invest in learning a skill that will truly benefit other people. Having an opportunity to pitch is NOT a valuable exchange for money.

On the other hand, being able to help someone build a successful ACN business to solve their money problem is valuable.

It makes sense, too.

I mean… not being on dozens of lists frees up your time and inbox so you can focus on important things (like running your business and making more dough) - instead of wasting your time reading one hyped-up sales pitch after another after another after another.

But you know what?

If you’re an email marketer, getting off some of those lists can be a HUGE mistake.

Strange as it sounds, I believe all this unsubscribing is costing you dearly - especially if you’re leaving the really hard-core, “frothing-at-the-mouth” hypey lists.

In fact, I believe you should join every single stinkin’ hype-filled list as possible.

The more full of BS the better.

The more they insult your intelligence the better.

I’m dead serious about this, too.

Let the onslaught of hype and BS hit you every day, day in and day out.

Examine every plead, gimmick and “excuse” for contacting you they concoct.

Notice how they treat you like some kind of drooling biz-opp lunatic whose only reason for existing is to give them your money, put their slapped-together product on the shelf (unopened), and then buy something else from them.

Anyway, why would you want to subject yourself to this madness?

What will this do?

Depending on how you conduct your email campaigns now… it could do a LOT.

You see, after being treated like a cyber “doormat” like this, you might start writing totally different emails to YOUR list because you will genuinely empathize with them and value their time.

You might also think twice before thinking of your list as just a “herd” (as many Internet marketers call their lists). And maybe think of them as people with real problems, desires and things to do besides sit down and read emails all day.

If you are an affiliate marketer, you might realize sending your list the exact same “form” email (that every other affiliate is sending) makes it almost impossible NOT to delete your emails.

Heck, you might even start to see how your list thinks of YOU (if you’ve been doing the above things).

And… if that is the case… you might NOT like what you see.

Anyway, I did this “list torture” exercise a while back and it was a real eye-opener.

And if your email response is poor, it may make a big difference for you, too.

As simple as I can put this – they are “other” network marketers (current or those who are no longer in the industry) who have been exposed to this industry.

In theory these leads could work, but they don’t and here’s why.

Genealogy leads are other network marketers currently in a business or at least have been within the last year (give or take one or two). It doesn’t matter if you plan on calling them or slapping them into a drip email campaign (autoresponder) it’s not worth your money or time.

You’ll quickly be back to cold calling and spamming leads.

I know because I tried this once. It was for experimental purposes only because I’d never dealt with MLM genealogy leads before. I have never cold called (I’ve cold called business opportunity leads though) them nor stuck them in an autoresponder system. However I was hearing the best way to communicate is by email.

Ok, so yeah that’s very true. Email communication is not dead and still works wonders in attraction marketing. It’s truly a solid foundation that all network marketers should be participating in.

With that said – it’s not for genealogy leads or business opportunity leads. I’m sorry but I’m speaking from experience.

Self generated leads are hands down the best way and also ethical in my humble opinion.

This is what will happen if you stick your purchased leads into some autoresponder system they “never” signed up for:

* You’ll be reported as a spammer – especially from AOL users.
* You’ll get a ton of opt-outs and we’re talking even if you just sent out a simple “how to” email with NO solicitation!
* You’ll be risking a bad reputation as a spammer and also your autoresponder account.
* You’ve just wasted anywhere from $25 to $300 on leads that have either gotten you into trouble or have opted out anyway.

Genealogy leads are the worst – even poorer than business opportunity leads (which simply are people who aren’t yet familiar with network marketing but looking to make money from home).

Add insult to injury:

Look, we are talking about 95% of network marketers who are failing miserably in the MLM industry. Yet their not ready to give it up or walk away from all the money they’ve poured into the business.

So here you come calling them on the phone to try and convince them your business is better. You’ve walked into the fire!

Or you are talking about those who have already decided to quit. Do you think calling them along with five other people calling them about “their” business is going to convince them of anything different?

I can tell you that even though my business is running fairly well, I still can’t stand to get the phone call from another network marketer (or email) who are telling me to join their business now. Or calling me following the “traditional” script we’ve all read.

So why should they be any different? Especially if they’re already upset and discouraged, you will not be riding up as some knight and shining armor savior. You will be pouring salt on a wound and that’s it.

It’s a huge sign of disrespect and there is really no two ways about it or any work around that will fix this issue.

Lead generation is the answer and it’s because other network marketers have come to YOU at their own accord and with dignity. They’re ready to learn more from you and you haven’t forced anything down their throat they weren’t asking for.

So keep that in mind the next time you pick up the phone to call genealogy leads or toss them in some email campaign.

There is no FAST or get rich quick, autoreponder business out there. You will feel burnt out sometimes and in turn are greatly rewarded for all of your sweat and tears.
